Despite the corona crisis, the Dutch designer and producer of sustainable design heating pads Stoov raised a considerable amount during the investment round.
New investor Niek Veendrick (ex-CEO Greetz) and the existing shareholders of Energiefonds Utrecht and MKB Fonds Flevoland are investing 450,000 euros in the company. The other 850,000 euros was raised via crowdfunding platform Oneplanetcrowd. Climate-KIC Alumni Stoov uses the money to scale up the organization and supply chain. “In terms of timing, I would have preferred to see it differently […]. Unfortunately, waiting longer was not an option and the investment round had to take place now, “said founder Teun van Leijsen. Last year, Stoov already raised 300,000 euros.

“We doubled our sales again in the first quarter of 2020. Because many consumers are now at home and many stay in and around the house, Stoov now experiences an extra boost in the number of orders ”.
